Our Story
A Scents Of Scotland is a proudly Scottish, family‑run business based in Ayrshire. We opened our doors with a simple mission: to bring high‑quality, great‑value gifts and home fragrances to our community — inspired by Scotland, crafted with care, and delivered with heart.
What began in April 2014 as a small idea quickly grew into something special. We started by visiting workplaces, factories, and contact centres, sharing our growing range of Scottish‑inspired goodies with staff and visitors. The dream was always bigger — a website, a shop, and a place where people could find something unique without needing to travel far.
By June 2015, our website went live and began attracting customers from all over the country. And on 3rd October 2015, our dream became reality when we opened our shop in Bellfield, Kilmarnock.
Why Bellfield?
People often ask why we chose Bellfield instead of the town centre.
The answer is simple — community.
Stuart remembers going “up the street” with his gran as a child in Bannockburn, where she could get everything she needed without taking a bus into town. That sense of convenience, warmth, and local connection has been lost in many places… but we wanted to bring it back.
Bellfield felt like that special place – and it still does.
