Founded in 2001, Earth Squared began with a mission rooted in both social justice and a passion for beautiful design. After spending two years volunteering on social projects in Guatemala, Alison Henderson, the founder, wanted to create a business that combined fair trade ethics with high-quality products designed to stand out.

On a global search for ethical suppliers, Alison discovered Vietnam, a country facing challenges in exporting its goods. After some trial and error, she built a lasting partnership with a supplier who shared her commitment to creating distinctive, ethically-made products. Together, they combined modern design with exceptional craftsmanship to offer stylish, fair trade fashion accessories and homewares to the world.

Earth Squared’s journey started with shops in Edinburgh and Glasgow, where customers instantly fell in love with the unique range. In 2007, Alison’s husband joined the team, and they expanded into wholesale, bringing Earth Squared designs to retailers across the UK and beyond.

Today, Earth Squared is headquartered in the picturesque town of North Berwick, just outside Edinburgh, where they continue to create beautiful, ethically-produced products with you in mind.
