Even though it’s lockdown we are busy busy at A Scents Of Scotland, and we wanted to give you a wee sneak peak at what Stuart & Emma are doing…
We have set up a mini photo studio in the living room, and we are soooo excited to be doing great new photos of the McKelvie home fragrance range.
Armed with one of each of the premium home fragrance goodies, our Canon dslr camera, an LED lighting rig, and some knowledge and tips gained from Stuart’s good friend Kevin Wyllie, the multi-award winning photographer from KSG Photography, based in Ayrshire too, we are creating some fabulous product photography for our website. (Although Stuart is quick to say he will never be able to take a picture quite like Kevin)
And don’t forget the wall paper stuck to the wall with masking tape! Just so we can have the right background for the photos… (Stuart really hopes the masking tape comes back off OK, or he’s in big trouble with Lisa!) hehe
One by one, Emma gets each of the products ready then passes it to Stuart who stages it in the wee studio they made together. Then when everything is positioned just right… Emma pushes the button on the camera remote, and the picture is done!
So what do the photo’s from a make-shift studio like that look like?
Well, Stuart likes the images to be vibrant and maybe even a bit moody looking…
